In order to address the lack of XML support in Complex Event Processing (CEP) systems, we propose an approach for XML integration into a CEP engine we call EQL/XA (XML-aware event query language). As event query languages are generally SQL-based, our approach is based on the independent part of the SQL standard – XML-related Specifications (SQL/XML). EQL/XA consists of several concepts that together offer significant XML support. We introduce a data type for representing XML, an XQuery function that is able to query and construct XML data, an aggregate function that concatenates a group of XML values into a single value and last but not least, we have proposed two stream-to-stream operators that together are capable of flattening XML events into events containing only atomic EQL data types. Thus, we have significantly enhanced the expressiveness of pure EQL.
SQL Server 2012 Data Integration Recipes provides focused and practical solutions to real world problems of data integration. Need to import data into SQL Server from an outside source? Need to export data and send it to another system? SQL Server 2012 Data Integration Recipes has your back. You'll find solutions for importing from Microsoft Office data stores such as Excel and Access, from text files such as CSV files, from XML, from other database brands such as Oracle and MySQL, and even from other SQL Server databases. You'll learn techniques for managing metadata, transforming data to meet the needs of the target system, handling exceptions and errors, and much more. What DBA or developer isn't faced with the need to move data back and forth? Author Adam Aspin brings 10 years of extensive ETL experience involving SQL Server, and especially satellite products such as Data Transformation Services and SQL Server Integration Services. Extensive coverage is given to Integration Services, Microsoft's flagship tool for data integration in SQL Server environments. Coverage is also given to the broader range of tools such as OPENDATASOURCE, linked servers, OPENROWSET, Migration Assistant for Access, BCP Import, and BULK INSERT just to name a few. If you're looking for a resource to cover data integration and ETL across the gamut of Microsoft's SQL Server toolset, SQL Server 2012 Data Integration Recipes is the one book that will meet your needs.
This book presents the solution for the data transformation from XML into ontology and the solution for integration of XML data. We propose a hybrid similarity measure based approach, that handles the distinct problems of syntactic, semantic, and schematic heterogeneity of XML data. Our similarity measure addresses both structural and semantic components and can be applied for both schema types, XSD and DTD . Due to the different targets between integration and transformation of XML data, we propose two types of similarity measures, which are similarity of elements between two schemas for data integration and similarity of elements within a schema for data transformation.
To understand how to create new markup tags. The XML standard was created by W3C to provide an easy to use and standardized way to store self-describing data (self-describing data is data that describes both its content and its structure).XML is nothing by itself. The main benefit of XML is that you can use it to take data from a program like MSSQL (Microsoft SQL), convert it into XML, and then share that XML with a slough of other programs and platforms. Each of these receiving platforms can then convert the XML into a structure the platform uses normally, and you have just communicated between two platforms which are potentially very different.
Beginning T-SQL is a performance-oriented introduction to the T-SQL language underlying the Microsoft SQL Server database engine. T-SQL is essential in writing SQL statements to get data into and out of a database. T-SQL is the foundation for business logic embedded in the database in the form of stored procedures and functions. Beginning T-SQL starts you on the path to mastering T-SQL, with an emphasis on best-practices and sound coding techniques leading to excellent performance. This new edition is updated to cover the essential features of T-SQL found in SQL Server 2014, 2012, and 2008. Beginning T-SQL begins with an introduction to databases, normalization, and to SQL Server Management Studio. Attention is given to Azure SQL Database and how to connect to remote databases in the cloud. Each subsequent chapter teaches an aspect of T-SQL, building on the skills learned in previous chapters. Exercises in most chapters provide an opportunity for the hands-on practice that leads to true learning and distinguishes the competent professional. Important techniques such as windowing functions are covered to help write fast executing queries that solve real business problems.

In this book, availability (Exergy) based SI engine model optimisation (ABSIEMO) is studied and evaluated. A four-stroke bi-fuel spark ignition (SI) engine model is developed for optimising engine performance based upon an availability analysis. An artificial neural network (ANN) is modelled based on availability based SI engine model (ABSIEM) results as an emulator to speed up executing of the optimisation processes programme. In this optimisation programme, constrained particle swarm optimisation (CPSO) is applied to identify parameters based upon availability and energy analysis. Moreover, in the optimisation process, the engine exhaust gases standard emission has been considered. Finally, the results of optimisation programme are compared and discussed.

Web sites are dynamic, static, and most of the time a combination of both. Web sites needs to protect their databases to assure security. An SQL injection attacks interactive web applications that provide database services. These applications take user inputs and use them to create an SQL query at run time. In an SQL injection attack, an attacker might insert a malicious crafted SQL query as input to perform an unauthorized database operation. Using SQL injection attacks, an attacker can retrieve, modify or can delete confidential sensitive information from the database. It may jeopardize the confidentiality, trust and security of Web sites which totally depends on databases. This report presents a “code reengineering” that implicitly protects the web applications from SQL injection attacks. It uses an original approach that combines static as well as dynamic analysis. In this report, I mentioned an automated technique for moving out SQL injection vulnerabilities from Java code by converting plain text inputs received from users into prepared statements.
This work focuses on a methodology to help bring many of our database prototypes to reside on the top of a common workbench platform that leads to uniformity and removes overlap across different subsystem. Subsystem currently included are: a runner for SQL on a variety of database platforms, a runner for Quilt queries, ElementalDB, an experimental database system used for instruction in a graduate database implementation course, our own XQuery engine which aims at handling data in terabyte range stored in our storage in paginated form using our pagination algorithm. An XML based framework has been developed for benchmarking subsystems to make experiments completely repeatable at click of a button starting from creation of storage, loading of data sets, execution of commands, collecting performance data in XML-based logs to reporting using XQuery queries on the XML logs. With a very small learning curve, the resulting workbench can be used by students, instructors, developers and researchers alike and managed easily.
SQL injection refers to an injection attack wherein an attacker can execute malicious SQL statements that control a web application’s database server. Since an SQL injection vulnerability could possibly affect any website or web application that makes use of an SQL-based database. SQL injection can provide an attacker with unauthorized access to sensitive data including, customer data, personally identifiable information, trade secrets, intellectual property and other sensitive information. “A method to detect and prevent SQL injection attack” book helps the researchers, academicians and students that how to detect and prevent attack in database. In this book, the SQL injection attack is prevented by classifying users as ethical and unethical by comparing static and dynamic analysis the SQL injection attack will be detected. In static analysis the DFA structure of the query at compile time will be analyzed where as in dynamic DFA structure of the query at run time is analyzed
