Sillago sihama, belonging to the family Sillaginidae is one of the highly priced fish in coastal and estuarine fisheries of India. Present study analyses the various aspects of biology of S. sihama along the coast of Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.The length weight relationship indicated the isometric growth in S. sihama. The morphometric characters indicated high degree of correlation among the compared character with total length. The length weight relationship equations analysed for males Log W =-1.9892 + 2.8891 Log L,for females were Log W =-1.9696 + 2.8893 Log L,for indeterminate were Log W=-2.2034 +3.0745 Log L and for total population,Log W=-1.9511+2.8608 Log L. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of food revealed that S. sihama is feed mainly on crustaceans, fish parts and polychaetes.Highest GSI value was observed in October for females and November for males. This species spawns from June to February with peak spawning activity during September to December.The asymptotic length (L?), growth coefficient (k) were estimated as 320.25 mm and 0.15/ year respectively. – I. The values of Z,M and F estimated were 0.90, 0.27 and 0.63 respectively. Exploitation ratio estimated 0.7.

Citrus is a common term and genus of flowering plants under the family Rutaceae. The Citrus macroptera Mont. Var. annamensis known as Melanesian papeda or Annam papeda in English and in Bengale (locally) called Satkara. Inhalation of the short-lived radon and thoron decay products in homes, at work places and in the outdoor atmosphere, yield the greatest amount of the natural radiation exposure of man. Radon is known to present a risk of lung cancer when it, or rather its decay products are inhaled. For this reason, it is of great importance to determine concentrations of radon, thoron and their progeny in a room. For that purpose extended Jacobi’s room model for three modal distribution of attached radon progeny is introduced. The parameters of Jacobi room model were determined by modeling radon and thoron progeny as Brownian particles, where indoor airflow is neglected. In case of turbulent indoor airflow, deposition velocities of unattached and attached radon progeny were presented as functions of friction velocity. Influence of aerosol characteristics on deposition rate of attached radon progeny and attachment rate in turbulent airflow was investigated in this monograph. It was shown that there is correlation between deposition rates and ventilation rate.

The electrochemical behavior of tin, indium and Sn-In alloys in 0.5 M solutions of oxalic, Malic and citric acids at temperature 30-60 oC was studied by Potentiodynamic technique. The results showed that the peak height and corrosion rate increase with increasing the temperature. The corrosion of tin, indium and Sn-In alloys is affected by the formation of soluble complex species with organic acid anions and the order of decreasing aggressiveness is oxalic < malic < citric acid. The corrosion rate of Sn-In alloys also affected by percentage of In in the alloy. Where In form two phases alloys with Sn (? and ? phase), these results were confirm with X-ray diffraction. The corrosion inhibition of tin, indium and their alloys in aqueous acidic solutions in presence of Adenine, Adenosine and 2, 4, 6 tris (2pyridyl)-1, 3, 5-triazine (PYT) as corrosion inhibitors was studied.
