This book has been designed to meet the needs of beginners to intermediate students of English as either a foreign or second language. I tried to make the language of the book very simple in order to let readers acquire the basic concepts of the English grammar. I haven't followed a consequent method when discussing the rules. However, all items are understandable. I provided examples and exercises that may arouse reader's attention. This book is going to be the first edition of my grammar book, and I hope to design other editions in all English skills in the future. I also hope to design a grammar book for advanced learners. In this book, I put some of my knowledge of English grammar in addition to research paper solving the problems of the English system of articles. The research was conducted in a Palestinian school where I teach English. I have found many mistakes, made by my learners, in the usage of the English articles resulted from the differences between the Arabic and the English system of articles.

English in India is neither a home language nor a foreign language, in terms of its uses in the community, but rather an indispensable second language. It would be absurd to expect an average Indian child to achieve the same degree of sophistication in handling the language, after perhaps rather less than 300 hours a year instruction in it over five or six years as his English counterpart who is immersed in the language all his working hours. Nowadays, whenever an educationist open his mouth to speak, a few words are bound to fall from his lips on the teaching of English: the importance of English as a basic subject; the necessity of giving it a prominent place on the time-table, and of making sure that the school learner possesses enough of it be able to fill in forms at the labour exchange. The reduced importance of English after independence may not be directly responsible for the fall in the standard of achievement of the pupils in English though it has rather indirectly resulted in the reduction of the place of English in the school curriculum. The number of periods allotted for the teaching of English in the schools is considerably reduced.
We suggest an original method of student cheating evaluation based on the comparison of students’ grades in exams in class, home assignments and experimental homework. The data for the study is collected from the survey of 2012–2013 sophomores of the International College of Economics and Finance at the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia. At the end of the course in Statistics in addition to standard assignments (homework and exams) students were given experimental homework with a ban on cooperation among them. The violation of this rule was qualified as cheating. The scale of cooperation is measured and then tested through the stochastic frontier technique; it reveals connection with the GPA level, students’ expectations of the cheaters’ share and students’ moral norms. We also find different behavioral patterns for high and low performing students as well as country specific context of student cheating behavior.
